Q: What should I email you about?
A: Training plans can’t be 100% set in stone. Sometimes it’s important to allow a little flex in what you do or how you do it. Fatigue, work, stress, injuries, life…shit happens and so when it does, we should be ready to adapt on the spot. Whenever something comes up, let me know so we can talk about the most relevant principles, resources, experiences, and studies that can help guide your training. While I try to respond to every email as quickly as possible, the camp program requires the most work and dedication by students and so they get the quickest guaranteed response time of 1 day.

Q: What’s custom programming?
A: Each program is custom-built and updated for your own personal schedule, goals, strengths, weaknesses, injuries, imbalances, training history, etc. This individualization is key for optimizing your gains and reducing your risk of injuries. Every 4-6 weeks, we will start a new 4-6 weeks of programming that keeps you on the right track to your goals. This new program is based on your feedback, recent progress, current condition, setbacks or good fortunes, time of year/season, etc.

Q: Why mobility, strength, and power?
A: Most of my athletic background and coaching experience is in sports and movements that must be done explosively. I consider mobility (active flexibility), strength, and power to be held at a premium above other physical attributes such as flexibility, stamina, and endurance.

Q: Can I join Camp training if I don’t live in Colorado (CO)?
A: Yes, but you need to come to Colorado in order to fully take part. All 1-on-1s and group sessions will take place in the Denver/Boulder metro area.

Q: Can I get a discount?
A: 50% off for anyone who’s currently a member or staff at any Apex location. I also have a small number of work/trade/sponsorship opportunities that are available every few months, for both the Apex community and out-of-towners.

Q: What do you mean work/trade/sponsorship opportunities?
A: Each month, I offer a limited number of work-trade and/or sponsorship opportunities. There is no monetary charge for either one. It works like this: you do X amount of hours of work for me at $50/hr in order to pay for the time and wisdom that goes into my programming/coaching. E.g. for Basic training, you only need to do 2 hrs of work each month to fulfill our trade. This work can be done remotely and may involve basic tasks such as parkour-related research, photo, video, and/or shoutouts that help my various projects through Apex School of Movement, ParkourEDU, and Parkour Strength Training. If you qualify for one of these opportunities, we’ll find a creative and unique way for you to contribute something useful back.
