Why?
- to refine your footwork and other key skills that will apply to climb-ups from a cat hang
- to build full body strength for climb-ups
How?
- start by the wall and take three big steps backward
- take your 3-step approach at the wall and step one foot on the wall *
- then, step with your other foot on the wall
- alternate legs once again and kick back to initiate the top-out **
- finish with a good top-out
* Limiting yourself to three approach steps on the ground is an important way to train and progress in difficult by using less steps.
** This alternating footwork pattern is key for all climb-up variations (step, step, kick back, land on top)
